"Engineering the Future Together"
As we reflect on the phenomenal journey of the 2025 session, it fills me with immense pride to witness the University School of Engineering & Technology (USET) evolving into a global epicentre for skill-based innovation.
At USET, we are proud to successfully offer B.Tech programs in collaboration with industry leaders IBM and L&T. These are not conventional degrees — they are built on a unique, industry-integrated skilling curriculum, designed with exhaustive inputs from experts at IBM, L&T, and other partners to match real-world demands.
New collaborations for 2026 have added feathers to USET, LTSU. We are launching new programs with our esteemed skilling partners including IIT Mandi, QSpiders, Microsoft ByteXL, Orane International, Unati, and several more in the pipeline. The focus across all programs remains unwavering: Learning to Lead, Skilling to Succeed.
Our focus: Project-Based Learning (PBL) as the core pedagogy. From the first semester, students learn by building. Classrooms have moved beyond theory into live Cyber-Physical laboratories, co-created with IBM and L&T, where students solve industry problems, not just textbook exercises.
Internship is integral, not optional. Every program embeds mandatory industry internships, and I am proud to share that our students are already securing internships with stipends at leading firms. Many are undergoing extended training on actual projects, gaining skills that make them industry-ready from day one.
This is a fully outcome-based program — measured by skills gained, patents filed, products built, and careers launched. From winning accolades at ISRO to representing India at global innovation summits, our students embody the spirit of ‘Learning by Doing’.
The credit for this success goes to our visionary LTSU leadership, valued Industry & Skilling Partners, Industry Experts, USET’s dedicated Faculty, and my meritorious Students. The credit in skilling also goes to our skilling partner NIELIT Ropar for organizing workshops and expert lecture sessions. Further, the various club formations and activities organized by the students for their overall development are key to this success.
Chronicle, USET’s newsletter, is a window to the dedication of our faculty and the boundless potential of our students. We celebrate the patents filed, the hackathons won, the internships earned, and the cultural tapestry that makes USET unique.
As we move forward, we remain committed to fostering an environment where innovation thrives, where challenges become opportunities, and where every student emerges as a leader ready to transform industries and society.
The journey has just begun, and the best is yet to come.
