B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or allied disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university
Designed to provide strong academic knowledge with practical industry exposure.
2 Years (4 Semesters)
Students are admitted to the M.Tech Electrical Engineering programme. The specialization is awarded based on the elective basket selected and the Dissertation/Project completed during the programme
Students may specialize in any one of the following domains:
Develop advanced knowledge in power generation, transmission, distribution, power system protection, power quality, grid operation, and modern power system planning. The specialization prepares graduates to contribute to the modernization of electrical infrastructure and smart utility networks.
Focus on advanced power electronic converters, electric drives, industrial motor control, energy conversion systems, and high-performance electrical machines used in modern industries
Gain expertise in solar photovoltaic systems, wind energy, energy storage technologies, smart grid architecture, distributed generation, and sustainable energy management.
Develop competencies in industrial automation, PLC & SCADA systems, robotics, process control, intelligent control systems, and Industry 4.0 technologies for smart manufacturing
Acquire advanced knowledge in electric vehicle systems, battery technologies, charging infrastructure, vehicle power electronics, energy storage systems, and intelligent mobility solutions
Graduates of Electrical Engineering are equipped to pursue rewarding careers across diverse industries, government organizations, research institutions, and emerging technology sectors.
Graduates of the M.Tech Electrical Engineering programme are prepared for diverse technical and leadership roles across power systems, automation, renewable energy, and electrical industries.
The programme encourages interdisciplinary research addressing contemporary challenges in electrical engineering.
