The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity at the University School of Computing (USOC) is designed in alignment with UGC guidelines and tailored to meet the demands of today’s tech-driven industries. The curriculum strikes a strong balance between foundational computing concepts and applied AI & ML & ML and/or Cybersecurity technologies, ensuring students are both academically grounded and practically equipped.
Approximately 30% of the course content focuses on core computing fundamentals, while 70% is centred on applied knowledge and skilling. Students are introduced to AI & ML / Cybersecurity focused specialization subjects and industry-relevant electives across the first four semesters, preparing them for real-world challenges.
Core computer science and emerging technology subjects are taught across the first four semesters, supported by regular lab sessions, live coding tasks, and project-based learning from the first year itself.
In the fifth semester, students will undertake a capstone live project, providing real-world exposure to application development in AI & ML & ML, cyber security, and other emerging technologies before moving on to the final phase of the program.
The program uses a modern, learner-centric delivery model, ensuring:
In-depth training in cutting-edge technologies like AI & ML.
Strong emphasis on Live Projects, Case Study–based Learning, and Simulation Labs
A curriculum structured to reflect industry expectations and future tech trends.
Continuous involvement in tech events, coding challenges, and inter-college competitions
The curriculum is industry-oriented and structured around Project-Based Learning (PBL) to ensure students gain hands-on experience and real-world problem-solving skills. By the third year, students will have built a robust portfolio of projects and practical experience, making them highly employable.
To recognize and reward student performance, a stipend is offered in the third year based on individual merit and project outcomes.
