Marketing Club (Golden Hawks) Organizes “Pitch the Useless Product” – A Celebration of Creativity and Humor

The Marketing Club of ‘University School of Commerce and Management’ successfully organized a fun-filled and innovative event, "Pitch the Useless Product," on 28-04-2025, bringing together imagination, humor, and marketing skills under one roof.
The activity challenged participants to think beyond conventional ideas and creatively pitch intentionally “useless” products, showcasing their ability to sell the most bizarre and impractical inventions with confidence and flair. From glow-in-the-dark sunglasses to silent alarm clocks, the teams displayed an extraordinary blend of wit, storytelling, and marketing techniques to win the audience's hearts.
The event featured exciting rounds including live product pitching and fun quizzes on real-life quirky inventions. Participants were judged on creativity, persuasive skills, humor, and presentation style.
In the spirit of healthy competition, prizes were awarded to the top performers. The First Prize was clinched by [Rupinder Kaur Sandhu and Priya/ Waterproof Tea Bag] for their exceptional creativity and engaging delivery. The Second Prize went to [Manraj /Glow-In-Dark-Sunglasses], who impressed the judges with his humor and innovative concept. The Third Prize was secured by two teams [Komalpreet Kaur, Navjot Kaur /Silent alarm clock] and [Tanbir/ Reverse Microwave] for their outstanding pitch and confident presentation. Each winning team received exciting gift hampers to mark their achievement. The event concluded with awards for the position holders followed by laughter, group photos, and a promise of more engaging activities in the future.
The Marketing Club continues to inspire students by offering platforms that sharpen their marketing instincts while building teamwork, spontaneity, and confidence in a lively atmosphere.
