The NSS Unit of LTSU, Punjab successfully organized an inspiring Orientation Programme for over 200 newly enrolled NSS volunteers on 29-04-2025.

The session began at 10:00 AM with student registration and distribution of NSS caps and badges.

Ms. Meemansha (B.Tech IBM), NSS Volunteer, delivered a warm welcome address.

The event was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

The highlight of the day was a special lecture by Dr. Sohnu, Assistant Professor cum NSS Programme Officer from Rayat College of Law, Railmajra.

He delivered an insightful talk on:

The history, vision, and activities of NSS

Benefits and awards available to NSS volunteers

Detailed guidance on the MY Bharat Portal – registration & opportunities

Effective volunteer-led management of NSS units

An interactive Q&A session to address student queries

A memento was presented to Dr. Sohnu by Mrs. Rattan Kaur, NSS Coordinator, LTSU, as a token of appreciation.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks.
