LTSU Hosts 'Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan'; Around 300 Students Participate in PM's Live Address


Youth Services Department, Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU) Punjab successfully organised a live screening of the address of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji under the "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan", a landmark national initiative aimed at inspiring the youth to build a drug-free and developed India.


The programme was held on Sunday, 2 August, at the university campus, where nearly 200 students enthusiastically participated and took the pledge to contribute towards a Drug-Free India (Nasha Mukt Bharat) and the vision of Viksit Bharat. Participants joined the Prime Minister's address through the official online platform at 10:45 a.m.


The event was organised under the leadership of Mrs. Rattan Kaur, Director, Youth Services Department, LTSU. The programme witnessed the gracious presence of Dr. Jagpal Rana, Registrar, LTSU, Dr V.K Saini DSW LTSU, Dr. Ashish Pal, District Youth Officer, Dr. Sohnu, Assistant Professor, Rayat College of Law, along with faculty members, NSS volunteers, and other distinguished guests.


Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries emphasised the collective responsibility of educational institutions, teachers, and youth in eradicating the menace of drug abuse and promoting healthy, responsible, and nation-building values among young citizens. The participants listened attentively to the Prime Minister's inspiring message and reaffirmed their commitment towards creating a drug-free society.
To encourage student participation, the District Youth Office distributed caps and T-shirts to all participants. Refreshments were also served to the students, making the event both informative and engaging.


The initiative received appreciation from Dr. A. S. Chawla, Vice-Chancellor, LTSU, Prof. Satyal, Pro Vice-Chancellor, and Mr. Vimal Malhotra, CEO, who lauded the dedicated efforts of the Youth Services Department and the organising team for successfully conducting the programme and ensuring all necessary facilities for the participants.


The programme concluded with a renewed pledge by students and faculty members to actively support the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan and work collectively towards building a healthier, stronger, and developed India.
