IT Club: Human-Computer Interface and Green Computing
The IT Club of University School of Commerce and Management organized an insightful and interactive session on 11th April, 2025 where students delivered presentations on the trending topics Human-Computer Interface and Green Computing. Human-Computer Interface (HCI) is the study and design of how people interact with computers and technology. It involves creating user-friendly systems that improve the way users communicate with digital devices. HCI includes elements like graphical interfaces, touch screens, voice commands, gestures, and even brain-computer interfaces. The focus is on making technology intuitive, efficient, and accessible for all users.). Green Computing refers to the practice of using computers and IT resources in an environmentally responsible and energy-efficient way. It focuses on reducing the carbon footprint of technology by designing eco-friendly hardware, using energy-efficient software, managing electronic waste properly, and promoting sustainable IT practices. The event aimed to cultivate awareness and deepen understanding of modern technological advancements among students. Students were grouped in a team of two and each group gave a well-prepared presentation, supported by visual aids and real-world examples. Both topics were chosen for their relevance in today’s technology-driven world. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all departments, along with the presence of faculty members who encouraged and guided the students throughout the session. The atmosphere was lively, educational, and highly interactive. The IT Club activity proved to be a valuable learning experience for all involved. It not only strengthened students' conceptual understanding but also fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and presentation skills. The presence of faculty and the active engagement of students made the event a grand success. We sincerely thank all faculty members, student coordinators and participants for their support and involvement.
